The remains of the Monastery of St..Archangel Michael are located on this peninsula. This monastery marked one of the most important stages in the life of the area – a period between IX – XIV century. It is likely that originally there was a Benedictine monastery. Saint Sava established the seat of the Bishop of Zeta at Prevlaka in the second half of the 13th century. There are still remains of the monastery. On the east side of the peninsula, there is the St. Trinity church, built in the 19th century by the countess Ekatarina Vlasteleinovic. This is one of the most important natural and cultural – historical entity.
