Tourist registration

During your stay in Montenegro you are obliged to register within 24 hours.

The residence tax is 1.00 euro per person per day, children up to 12 years do not pay residence tax. Young people between 12 and 18 years pay half, i.e. 0.50 euros.

If you own a holiday home or flat, you are also required to register in a property register proving your ownership. This exempts you from paying the residence tax, as well as the closest family members (father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister).

If you stay in more than one municipality in Montenegro, you must register in each municipality where you stay for more than 12 hours.
