LASTOVSKI CARNIVAL

The traditional carnival of Lastovo takes place in the month of February. The carnival parade starts in the 7th district in Donja Lastva and accompanied by two brass bands, majorettes and trombone blowers, leads along the Lastovo waterfront to the church of St. Roka, where the trial of Krneval takes place. The burning of the “guilty” will take place on the mole in Donja Lastva. After the burning and the celebration, which coincides with the disappearance of the culprit, everyone is allowed to have fun at the masked ball, where numerous surprises await them and the best group and individual masks are richly awarded.
